Gift and Data Operations Manager – Temporary Cover (Secondment)

If so, we have an opportunity for a Gift and Data Operations Manager to join the University of Cambridge Development and Alumni Relations Office on a fixed term contract, also available for secondment.

The Gift and Data Operations team is responsible for processing philanthropic income on behalf of the University of Cambridge and its collegiate partners, approximately £200m/ over 12k donations each year. The team is also responsible for looking after over 500k alumni and supporter records on our fundraising database, Amicus.

The Gift and Data Operations Manager plays a key role in ensuring that the University is able to offer a first-class giving experience to its donors and that our programmes are supported by accurate data. Effective gift accounting and data administration are vitally important to the meeting of the University’s strategic aims and will require the post holder to support the Head of Gift and Data Services team in delivering and implementing the strategic development of the team to reflect the sophistication of the development function.

The role holder will be responsible for delivering efficient gift and data processing operations, in accordance with regulation and policy, enabling a responsive service to be provided to our donors, on behalf of the whole University community.

This role is based in central Cambridge, UK. We practise a hybrid working model and the successful candidate will be expected to be in the office for a minimum of two days a week.
