International Admissions Officer

At UCA, creativity and innovation are at the heart of what we do. Our legacy of educating eager and passionate artists, makers and thinkers runs back almost 160 years, and today we’re helping shape a global future that supports and nourishes talent worldwide.

Our campuses across Surrey and Kent are vibrant communities, each specialising in different areas of the creative industries. We are also home to a thriving research hub, with academic experts and fellows leading the way in research on sustainability, design, textiles, animation, history and culture, and more.

Are you ready to share your passion for creativity with the next generation of innovators? If so, we want to hear from you.

The University for the Creative Arts is seeking to appoint an International Admissions Officer (permanent and 6 month fixed term contracts are available) who will provide a vital service to support the University in meeting its international recruitment targets across all Pre-sessional English, Further Education, Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses. With increasing competition to convert students, you will co-ordinate the work of the admissions team delivering an efficient, fair, proactive and customer focused service, both to applicants and internal and external stakeholders.

You will deputise for and support the Senior International Admissions Officer in achieving enrolment targets. Your role will deliver an efficient and robust operation of admissions procedures in accordance with University processes, policies and service level agreements, whilst also ensuring compliance with the UKVI regulatory framework.

You will ensure that applicants and their advisors are given accurate and up to date advice on all aspects of the admissions process. You will also ensure that all admissions procedures are followed correctly and efficiently, and that internal and external deadlines are met to maximise applicant conversion and meet stakeholder expectations.

With excellent interpersonal skills and an eye for detail, you will have admissions experience within a Further and /or Higher Education environment and will be used to building and maintaining effective working relationships. Your highly organised and methodical approach will be matched with an excellent range of IT skills, including knowledge of the SITS student record database, international and English language qualifications, and the UKVI regulatory framework.
