Applications are invited for a Lectureship in Commercial Law in the Brunel Law School. The appointment is being made to consolidate the School’s strong research and teaching profile in Commercial Law. The successful candidate will have a strong research and publications record suitable for submission for the next REF (or its replacement), and will be able to demonstrate coherent future research plans as well as the potential for obtaining external funding. The successful candidate will also have a strong teaching record (or demonstrate such potential) and will be able to demonstrate coherent future teaching plans. Candidates must already hold a PhD (or equivalent) or demonstrate that they are very close to completing their PhD.
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to teaching across the spectrum of Commercial Law and Private Law as well as contributing to other undergraduate or postgraduate teaching as the need arises, and to undertake administrative duties within the School. We have particular needs in the following areas: Consumer Law, International Commercial Arbitration, International Investment Law and Arbitration.
The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in at least one of the College research centres, Entrepreneurship and Sustainability and Global Lives, or a University Research Institute.

Part-time and job-share appointment to this position will be considered but may not meet the criteria for a skilled worker sponsorship.
The position is tenable from 1 September 2022 or as soon as possible afterwards.
