
The Division of Global Management of Brunel Business School is seeking to recruit a Professor with vision and academic ambition to provide leadership and academic capacity in the area of International Business.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join the Global Management Division and Strategy, Entrepreneurship and International Business (SEIB) Research Group who can make a significant contribution to our research, teaching and learning strategy. The SEIB Research Group has an excellent international reputation. Members include editors of 4-star journals; members publish in 4-star ‘World Elite’ and 4-star journals and have recently attracted research grants from funding bodies such as the British Academy, UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), The United Nations International Telecommunication Union (ITU), and the Leverhulme Trust.
Applicants must have experience of the delivery of high-quality teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level and of the development and leadership of International Business education. Knowledge of Creative Industries in the context of International Business is desirable for this role. There is a strong culture of research and collaboration within the Department. Therefore, applicants must have a substantial national and international research profile with sustained research outcomes in top-tier journals aligned with one of the College’s Research Centres, Entrepreneurship and Sustainability and Global Lives, or a University Research Institute as well as a record of income generation.
Teaching duties will include contributing effectively to the BSc and MSc programmes in International Business which are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), as well as to MBA, and PhD programmes and to the development of new programmes as required. In addition, the applicant, must have substantial experience in nurturing and supporting young scholars. The role holder will be expected to support the Business School’s research and knowledge exchange efforts and undertake some academic and managerial leadership within the school.
