The successful candidate will join a highly dedicated team responsible for the development of novel technologies for healthcare and bio-inspired devices and systems. The extended team consists of a multi-disciplinary cohort with complementary skills in engineering, medicine, biology, genetics, chemistry, physics, and computing. You will be based at the South Kensington Campus, Institute for Biomedical Engineering. You will work under supervision of Regius Prof Chris Toumazou, FRS.
The post holder will be responsible for conducting research on bio-sensors and devices used in various environments and targeting different types of health conditions. The job requires the candidate to be able to communicate and work with the engineering team to help translate the research findings into applicable technologies. The role will give opportunity to develop new skills.
You must have a PhD in Bio-chemistry/Biosensors (or equivalent) for this appointment, or soon to be awarded your PhD.
*Candidates who have not yet been officially awarded their PhD will be appointed as Research Assistant within the salary range £36,694- £39,888 per annum.
